Problem Statement:

The Following are the problems which encountered in Health and Safety Rules in FEU Campus. Several problems about Health and Safety among the students have been observed inside the university campus hence requiring attention from the management of FEU Not only the management has the responsibility but the students as well everyone should be aware and participate in finding solutions regarding this issue

 Major Problem:

A.    Constructing inside the campus while classes are ongoing

Background Construction that takes place in or near the school building while the school is in session is the most difficult kind of construction to manage. Schools are required to provide a helpful, safe learning environment. Construction and renovation projects conducted while school is in session severely test this responsibility an often present unnecessary risks to students and staff.

B.    Faulty electrical wiring

There is some faulty electrical wiring inside the classroom which can be very dangerous to students that may cause them accidents which can be resulted to death

Minor Problem:

A.   Food staffs at the canteen are not wearing proper safety uniform

Food staffs at the canteen are not wearing proper protective clothing like Hairnet and Apron, which can cause cross contamination to students and professors who go to the canteen.

B.   Students joining fraternity

Students are joining the fraternity for curiosity, persuading by their friends and to be famous. It gives them different feeling and fulfillment students who are joining fraternity don’t care whatever disadvantage or even might cause them death like hazing Throughout history, hazing has resulted in several deaths and serious injuries. Students who are joining fraternity don’t care whatever good or bad might cause them in joining the group.

HEALTH AND SAFETY RULES

Health and Safety of the Students is very important. Students should have received proper training if uses equipment, tools, and machinery. This should ensure that the students feel confident in the use of machines and can operate without having accident or causing accident to other people. Because Required skills are learned through experience.

Employees/Students of the campus should be responsible for reporting to their Supervisor and First Aid (Health Services) whenever they become sick or injured at campus.

Health and safety inspection of all campus facilities should be conducted regularly. And each accident must identify the cause and corrective actions necessary to prevent similar accidents from recurring. All investigations shall be documented and kept on file for at least one year to keep employees and students from any harm

  • GROUP 3 TQM CONCERNS

    1. FACILITY MANAGEMENT

We have observed that the Facility management of ITHM has to develop discipline, satisfaction of the students within the management of supporting services.
It is our hope that we will be able to make further contributions to the continuing discovery of new knowledge for FM in the future. And we would like to enhance the use of space in the future, deliver effective and responsive services, and develop the organisation’s culture and image.

    2. MEETINGS AND CONVENTIONS

We would like the students to attend more of communication patterns and social conventions. Because in our campus, it’s not always required but for us, professional meetings and conventions are scenic, fun and historic and/or we could have provide a safe, small and accessible convention facilities for students.
